What Home Means To Me - Pin It Forward

I would have loved this doorbell in NYC. Seriously, there seemed to be more door to door people there than anywhere else. Frank Sinatra's doorbell from the 1960s found on tsutpen, hilarious.

Speaking of the 1960s I seriously love these Carl Jacobs chairs and would like to have them. Now. I accept deliveries.

The Holm Residence in Norway has had a tremendous impact on my decorating so far in my house. My life is filled with paper, fabrics, Goodnight Gorilla, legos and animals. I need to operate from a spare home and apparently a cluttered office (lately).

In New York City and even still here, I would LOVE to have this as a guest bed from le beanock. We love house guests SO MUCH! Seriously. I would also love to get all of the beautiful quilts from Suki Cheema. Love the rugs too. Seriously, stop it.

I adore all of the lights and lines in this photo. Found on Sweet Home Style via emmas blogg, it makes me miss my arched doorways when I lived in San Miguel de Allende. I dont miss living next door to a practice space for a marching band.

Little Squirt

Okay now look at me, I can't stop posting things I've made. But Henry is so hilarious right now, it's hard to handle at times. I bought squirt guns for summer. Then quickly realized I had a rule about guns, right? No guns? "Look Henry, Mama got your squirt L's." They sort look like the letter L and he likes letters. Anyway. I sprayed him with it, I thought he might get mad because he hates his hair being washed. But he turned around and wanted us to keep doing it. Hilarious. I love the end when he says "come back!".

New Directions

Oh Im tired, behind on little things. Started physical therapy finally (after emergency spinal surgery) Catching up! I promise. I missed making patterns and I super love the photos (real film people!) that my friend Kate Miss has been taking lately. I really adore the arrows she has, so this photo inspired me to make some patterns. I like arrows in general, and had some little arrow illustrations, just waiting for me to use them. I've also been nagged a little bit lately to post more of my own work, but suddenly I have become more bashful about it. Ah well. Here it goes.






I think that I might try to do this each week. I sort of told Erin that I might make a pattern based on a Huxtable sweater next time. Or maybe, something else.

Koko & Gorillas

When I was totally obsessed with Koko the Gorilla. Koko had a cat named All Ball, when we adopted our little tiny half tailed cat we named her Koko, because of her cat story. I dont know what it is or was that made me so interested in Gorillas specifically. I also wanted to be Jane Goodall Jr. when I was little. Anyway. This video made me cry. So amazing.
