One day I want to take Henry to the Holi Festival. He totally loves a big mess.
I also saw these great Sally Campbell quilts on a great blog called Mint.

So I was 8 when I "wrote" this book. It was quite a prolific year for me, book wise. I was on fire.
Inspired by a twitter conversation I had with the lovely Shayna of The Cabin House, I thought I would share this book with you.
My grandfather had died, so naturally why wouldn't I illustrate the experience. For the record I did actually make it as a hardcover by using cardboard and wallpaper samples. It was amazing.
"When my grandfather was sleeping he had a hardatack. And he
died. When my aunt came over with her friend. She sat down with
us and watched T.V. And my Aunt was talked about it. I was
very curious. I asked her friend what they were talking about. Then
the nexed dat dad told me and I burst out crying. And my mom asked me if
I wanted to go to his funeral. I never saw a dead
person. I said yes. And before The funeral. My sister did not really
understand so she could not come with us. So she had sophia to babysit her. I was the
only kid at my grandfathers funeral. and there were limosines.
every where and they had electric windows. And I was squished
be my father. My father say the limosine almost looked like a pool I
laufed so hard. I cryed agin I came back
we were going to my nanny's (grandmother). Her kitten died and I cried
even more. The End of the horrible day!!
